We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Associate Bakery Manager to join our bakery team.Butterflake Bakery is looking for an Associate Manager to join our team. We've been serving our community for years, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working with people, and understands what it takes to keep a busy bakery running.This is a hands on position - checking on orders, helping the staff stay organized, or lending a hand wherever it's needed. No two days are exactly the same!

Qualifications
- Previous management or supervisory experience in a bakery, restaurant, food service, retail, or similar business preferred.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills with the ability to confidently communicate with customers regarding cakes, catering, and specialty orders.
- Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Shopify, shipping software (UPS, FedEx, USPS), and point-of-sale (POS) systems is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to lead by example.
- Willing to work early mornings, weekends, evenings, and holidays as business demands.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday.
- Experience with bakery operations, food production, inventory management, and order processing is a plus.
- Knowledge of kosher food is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Supervise and support front-of-house and production staff.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and provide exceptional customer service.
- Accurately take cake, catering, holiday, and special orders by phone, in person, and online.
- Discuss custom cakes, catering, and specialty bakery orders with customers, answer questions, provide recommendations, and ensure order details are complete and accurate.
- Coordinate retail, wholesale, online, and shipping orders to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
- Work closely with the kitchen and production team to maintain quality standards and meet production schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs for ingredients, packaging, and supplies.
- Help train, motivate, and support employees while maintaining a positive team environment.
- Ensure excellent customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns.
- Assist with scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and daily operational tasks.
- Help manage Shopify orders, shipping, and customer communications.
- Step in wherever needed—from receiving deliveries and stocking displays to assisting customers or supporting production during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
