Job description:
Overview
2 Fast Logistics is seeking a highly organized and proactive Safety Manager to oversee and maintain all aspects of driver safety, DOT compliance, fleet safety programs, and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our transportation services while promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience in trucking and transportation safety, knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations, strong communication skills, and the ability to work directly with drivers, operations, and management teams.
Responsibilities
- Help manage a fleet of trucks and trailers including day-to-day operations
- Create weekly reports for team reviewing safety training, equipment maintenance, and other relevant information.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and state regulations
- Conduct driver onboarding, orientation, and ongoing safety training
- Review and investigate accidents, incidents, claims, and safety violations
- Monitor Hours of Service (HOS) and driver logs
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance compliance and inspection programs
- Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to resolve safety concerns in real time
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of the trucking & logistics industry (Hours of Service compliance)
- Strong understanding of FMCSA/DOT regulations and safety standards
- Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
