Necessary Skills: scheduling, email & phone etiquette, experience using EMR, typing/spelling, counting money/collection of electronic payment, knowledge of insurance packages & benefits, use of fax machine/scanner, multi-tasking customer service to in-person & phone customers, dynamic customer facing communication skills.
- Receptionists provide customer service via phone and in person while scheduling visits for 2 locations and facilitating flow of information between physicians, staff and patients.
- They obtain and verify appropriate personal, demographic and financial information for the purpose of ensuring quality patient care and reimbursement for all billable services during check-in & registration, and manage patient forms.
- They are reliable, have no problems with attendance/tardiness, work well with others, communicate and work as part of a team, and bring enthusiasm to the work environment.
