What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality care for telemetry patients in a busy hospital environment
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies
- Support post-operative and general medical-surgical patients, including those with cardiac conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech Expanse EMR system
- Assist with wound care, patient education, and emergency response as needed
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or RN compact license
- Minimum of 2 years recent hospital RN experience, including telemetry
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment
