Job Title: Bilingual Landscape Crew Leader & Driver (Commercial Maintenance)
Core Job Profile We are seeking a reliable, communicative Crew Leader to manage a 3-to-4-man team for commercial grounds maintenance. This role requires driving a truck and trailer setup, operating machinery, and transitioning to snow plowing during the winter season.
Schedule & Hours
- Work Days: Monday through Friday (with some Saturdays required based on workload and weather delays).
- Start Time: Strict 7:30 AM daily start.
Primary Responsibilities
- Daily Workflow: Review and strictly follow daily sheets to ensure all targeted commercial properties are serviced correctly.
- Commercial Maintenance: Perform high-volume commercial grounds care utilizing walk-behind mowers, stand-on mowers, string trimmers, and precision hedge trimmers.
- Driving & Transport: Safely operate a truck and trailer combination to transport equipment and crews between job sites.
- Crew Leadership: Direct a 3-to-4-man crew, execute daily instructions efficiently, and maintain a cooperative team environment.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate a skid steer and handle minor mechanical repairs or troubleshooting on equipment in the field.
- Winter Operations: Transition to snow plowing and winter property management during the off-season.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Language Requirement: Bilingual skills are an absolute must to bridge communication gaps and ensure clear crew direction.
- License Requirement: Valid Driver’s License is an absolute must with a clean driving record capable of handling a truck and trailer.
- Machinery Proficiency: High proficiency operating stand-on mowers, commercial walk-behinds, string trimmers, and a skid steer.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, able to listen closely to instructions and communicate clearly with the crew.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of heavy physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly in all weather conditions.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to perform basic field repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
