Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and mechanical components to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding tasks and mechanical repairs to address facility needs promptly.
- Maintain and update maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and asset histories.
- Assist with residential painting projects and general facilities upkeep to enhance the environment for residents.
- Support plumbing system maintenance, including repairs to prevent leaks or blockages, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance tasks involving Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and other technical systems relevant to facility operations.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service to residents and staff.
- Lead or support safety initiatives related to MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) supplies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential building upkeep.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and use testing tools like ohmmeters effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge including HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, welding skills, and general troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams related to electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
- Supervising experience is a plus; leadership skills are valued for team coordination roles.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interactions.
- Knowledge of MRO supplies management, safety protocols, and facilities maintenance best practices.
