Supported Living DSP
Orange County Broad Services is looking for part-time in-home Personal Attendant for families in Orange County. Hours may vary based on the client's/family's needs.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing day-to-day in-home personal care to individuals with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Caregivers will assist with daily living tasks as outlined in the Individual Program Plan (IPP) of the person served.

The client is a ~40-year-old male with a mild intellectual disability. Recently moved to live independently and will be living with a roommate who also receives services through OCBS. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, responsive, and enjoys taking care of others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide training in behavioral, social, independence, and community involvement skills to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Assist with personal care needs, as necessary, to maintain hygiene.
- Assist with household chores, as needed.
- Implement Individual Program Plans.
- Work all assigned schedules, including (but not limited to) arriving and departing on time, requesting time off in advance, and notifying the supervisor of any changes to your assigned work schedule.
- When working night shifts, remain alert and responsive to the person served during nighttime awakenings and behaviors.
- Attend regular meetings with your direct supervisor.
- Report all incidents, behaviors, and occurrences immediately to the supervisor, including possible abuse or neglect.
- Ensure each individual’s rights are protected.
- Treat each person served with dignity and respect.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR by the first day of employment.
- Fingerprint and criminal clearance prior to starting.
Shifts Available:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:30 pm – 11:30 pm
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
