We are looking for a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our mobile healthcare team. This position supports providers who deliver medical care in patients’ homes and requires someone who is comfortable traveling to different patient locations throughout the workday.
This is a great opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working outside of a traditional clinic environment. Training and guidance are available for candidates who are motivated, professional, and eager to develop their healthcare skills.
Responsibilities
- Accompany and assist the healthcare provider during scheduled home visits
- Travel to various patient locations as part of the daily work schedule
- Collect and record routine patient information and vital signs
- Assist with visit preparation and coordination
- Help communicate and reinforce provider-directed care instructions
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Organize, prepare, and replenish medical supplies used during field visits
- Keep clinical equipment and assigned supplies clean, organized, and ready for use
- Help maintain the cleanliness and professional condition of the company vehicle
- Protect patient information and follow applicable privacy, safety, and company requirements
- Communicate effectively with providers, patients, caregivers, and office staff
Qualifications
- Current and valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving history
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between patient homes
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a healthcare team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable providing support in a home-based/mobile care setting
- Prior Medical Assistant or healthcare experience is preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn new procedures, systems, and workflows
- Dependable, professional, and respectful when interacting with patients and families
