At L&L Academy and Preschool, we are seeking a warm, innovative, and passionate Lead Twos Teacher to join our collaborative team of educators. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Manage daily classroom routines, including meal times, nap schedules, and transitions, ensuring smooth operations and child welfare.
- Foster social-emotional development, independence, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with families through regular communication to share progress updates and discuss individual needs or concerns.
- Incorporate early intervention techniques when necessary to support children with special education needs or developmental delays.
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress, assessments, and individualized plans in compliance with licensing standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 credits relating to early childhood education or child development; or
- a current CDA
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers aged 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Background in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math skills, and Montessori methods preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering a nurturing environment.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education or preschool teaching is required; Montessori certification is a plus.
