Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 3rd shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in the working weekends Friday-Sunday 06:00pm-06:30am.The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. This role offers an opportunity to provide vital support during overnight hours, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients and residents. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in medical documentation, vital signs monitoring, and patient assistance while adhering to strict safety and confidentiality standards.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Support patients with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, behavioral health support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols, practicing aseptic techniques, and managing infectious disease precautions effectively.
- Operate medical equipment including catheter care devices and other medical-surgical tools while ensuring proper functioning and safety standards.
- Assist with transfers and mobility using appropriate lifting devices like Hoyer lifts to prevent injury for patients and staff.
- Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transfer to post-acute or outpatient care settings while maintaining detailed medical records.
Skills
- Proven experience working in various healthcare environments including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures such as catheter care and vital signs monitoring.
- Experience in specialized areas such as Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care, hospice care, behavioral health, or pediatric/geriatric patient support is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and handling infectious diseases safely.
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining excellent communication with team members across shifts.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
