Day shift is alternating week schedules: Monday - Wednesday and Monday - Thursday from 4:30am - 4:30pm
Weekend shift is alternating week schedules, Thursday-Sunday and Friday - Sunday from 4:30am - 4:30pm
Weekend Night shift is alternating week schedules, Thursday-Sunday and Friday - Sunday from 4:30pm - 4:30am
SUMMARY:
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for running CNC lathe equipment to produce product in a high mix moderate volume environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities for this position shall include but is not limited to the following:
· Operate CNC lathes including set-ups / changeovers, offsets, change inserts, tooling, etc.
· Proficient in the use of standard measuring devices
· Trouble shoot any problems that may occur during operation
· Provide in-process inspection.
· Achieve production output and quality per standards.
· Demonstrate basic manufacturing line knowledge and participate in process improvement.
· Read and comprehend moderately complex instructions.
· Maintain a safe and clean environment.
· Complete tasks as assigned with limited supervision.
· Other duties may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 3 years of experience as CNC lathe operator in a machine shop or production environment.
· Experience turning / threading API products (BTC, LTC); preferably > 9 5/8” OD casing couplings or related.
· Experience with FANUC controls / codes (preferably on YCM, Doosan, or Samsung CNC lathes).
· Experience using Gagemaker thread measurement tools preferred.
· Experience in a high mix moderate volume operation.
· Ability to use micrometers, calibers, other measurement instruments.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
· Knowledge of and ability to read technical prints.
· Must be able to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
· Must be a team player.
· Must consistently be at work and on time.
· Must have passion & enthusiasm for work.
