In this role, you'll safely transport aggregate materials, asphalt, construction materials, and demolition debris to and from customer job sites while ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a tri-axle dump truck in various weather and road conditions.
- Transport sand, gravel, rock, dirt, asphalt, and construction/demolition debris.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report mechanical issues and maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with routine truck maintenance and cleanliness.
- Complete driver logs, tickets, and required paperwork accurately.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers, contractors, and customers.
- Represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Ability to safely operate a manual transmission.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and construction site safety.
- Previous tri-axle dump truck experience is preferred but experienced CDL drivers are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety conscious.
- Willingness to work overtime or occasional weekends during busy seasons.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times throughout the day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform inspections and light maintenance tasks.
