Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining a smooth workflow in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that products are loaded and unloaded safely and accurately.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to operate an order picker and pallet jack effectively.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory management.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
