A well-established general dental practice in Milford, PA is seeking a full-time or part-time dental hygienist. Office hours are M-T-W, 8am-5pm, Thursday 8am-2pm (7am - 1pm May-Oct). Full-time would amount to a 30-hour week, but part-time for a day or two per week is also an option. Appointments are 50 min for a regular prophylaxis, 60 min for quadrant scaling. A local anesthesia license is preferred.
The position includes paid holidays (if they fall on a day we are normally in the office), PTO time after 1 year, opportunity for health insurance plan, immediate family dental treatment.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing
- Take digital dental radiographs to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventative care strategies
- Review patient medical histories and update records accurately to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide postoperative instructions and reinforce home care routines for long-term oral health
- Maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
