Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitization to ensure homes are spotless and hygienic
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens with care and efficiency
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to maintain safety standards
- Clean floors thoroughly using appropriate techniques for carpet care, tile, hardwood, or other surfaces
- Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or appliances safely and effectively
- Maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces, including kitchen counters, bathroom fixtures, windows, and furniture
- Use specialized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners, and carpet extractors to achieve optimal results
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand their specific needs and ensure their satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to complete scheduled tasks within designated timeframes while maintaining quality standards
- Follow all safety protocols related to janitorial and custodial work to prevent accidents or injuries
Experience
- Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning is highly preferred, including familiarity with janitorial or custodial duties
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care techniques, and sanitation procedures is essential
- Experience with cleaning detergents, equipment operation, and outdoor work is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
