Summary
As a Veterinary Assistant at Flemington Veterinary Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team in delivering high-quality care to our patients. This position is essential for maintaining the health and comfort of animals while assisting with various clinical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures to ensure animal safety and comfort.
- Provide compassionate care to animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising as needed.
- Administer medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarian.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including kennels and treatment areas.
- Handle animals safely during examinations, ensuring their well-being throughout the process.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animal's health and care instructions.
- Support the veterinary team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing records.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
