Job description
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to oversee human resources operations and ensure the licensed home care agency remains compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role manages recruitment, applicant tracking, onboarding, employee records, credential tracking, and staff relations while maintaining compliance with licensing, training, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee personnel files for Home Health Aides.
- Ensure caregiver credentials, background checks, and training requirements are current and compliant with DOH requirements.
- Maintain HR policies and ensure adherence to labor laws and home care regulations.
- Monitor compliance with state and federal home care standards and prepare for audits or inspections.
- Address employee relations issues and support staff development.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all HR and compliance records are up to date
- Work closely with scheduling and business development to ensure staffing needs are met
- Assist with payroll processing as needed
Qualifications
- Home care experience in Human Resources and regulatory compliance
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- HRIS experience in UKG or other comparable platforms
- Bilingual in Spanish or Creole is a plus
