Overview
American Southwest Electric Arizona is seeking experienced Electrical and HVAC Service Technicians to support commercial and industrial clients throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and surrounding communities. This is a full-time, tools-on position for motivated professionals who enjoy troubleshooting, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and industrial service work, including troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and installations. Technicians will work independently and as part of a team to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
Experience with controls systems and PLCs is a plus.
Duties
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine corrective actions
- Perform preventive maintenance and service calls
- Ensure all work meets company standards, customer expectations, and applicable codes
- Maintain accurate service documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
- Respond to occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency service calls as needed
Electrical
- Troubleshooting and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Conduit bending and installation experience
- Knowledge of NEC requirements and industry best practices
- Preventive maintenance and service work
- Experience working with motors, controls, and automation systems
HVAC
- Commercial HVAC service and troubleshooting
- Maintenance and repair of rooftop units, split systems, package units, and related equipment
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical HVAC issues
- Familiarity with building automation and control systems
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical and HVAC systems
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of commercial and industrial electrcial service experience
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a federal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work from ladders, lifts, and aerial equipment
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Overtime as needed
- Occasional nights and weekends
- Service territory throughout the Phoenix Metro Area and surrounding regions
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
