About the Role
Holland Equipment Services (HES) is growing and looking for an Equipment Sales & Rental Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role within a collaborative and family owned team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, is comfortable around equipment, and is willing to step in wherever needed to support the business. You’ll play a key role in driving revenue through equipment sales and rentals while also supporting day-to-day operations.
What You’ll Do
- Support sales of new, used, and rental construction equipment and attachments
- Manage a mix of inside sales activities (calls, follow-ups, quoting) and outside sales efforts (customer visits, demos)
- Build relationships with new and existing customers
- Conduct equipment walkarounds and assist with demonstrations as needed
- Operate equipment when required
- Assist with yard and operational needs, including equipment prep, organization, and occasional power washing
- Step in to support team priorities as business needs shift
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in the equipment, construction, or related industry
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing confidence
- Comfortable with both sales responsibilities and hands-on operational work
- Self-directed and resourceful, able to succeed in a lean, fast-moving environment
- Willing to contribute beyond core responsibilities and support overall operations
- Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic role
- Comfortable operating or learning to operate heavy equipment
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 + commission
- Commission opportunities across equipment sales, rentals, and attachments
- Potential for additional performance-based incentives
