Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently, following recipes and presentation guidelines
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck’s kitchen area at all times
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu planning to introduce new dishes or improve existing offerings
- Support catering events or special orders as needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality meals
- Serve customers directly when required, providing friendly and professional service
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, fine dining experience, and food service operations
