Job description
We are seeking an experienced Oncology infusion nurse to join our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion medications following established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, assess their physical and emotional responses, and respond promptly to any adverse reactions or complications.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medication side effects, and self-care techniques to promote understanding and compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR (Nextgen, Epic), ensuring all patient records are complete and up to date.
- Cooperate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, pharmacists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Follow strict aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety during infusions.
- Assist with triage assessments for new or ongoing patients, prioritizing care based on acuity levels in accordance with hospital protocols.

Qualifications:
- Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license in the State Of Maryland with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). ONS certification.
- Proven experience in oncology infusion therapy or related fields such as critical care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine.
- Needs to have expert IV skills and advanced IV infusion techniques, catheter care, and medication administration protocols. Phlebotomy experience a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to oncology treatments.
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems (Nextgen, Epic) for accurate documentation.
- Ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, and symptom management.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
