Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Location: Virginia
Position: Per Diem / Part-Time, with potential for Full-Time
Starting Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week
Compensation: $100 per hour + $1,000 Signing Bonus
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient mental health practice in Virginia.
Position Overview
The position will initially start at approximately 10 hours per week on a part-time/per-diem basis. As the patient volume increases, the position will transition to full-time.
This is a great opportunity for a PMHNP who is interested in joining a growing practice and building a long-term patient panel.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat patients within the scope of practice
- Provide psychiatric medication management and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Provide services both in person and through telehealth
Schedule
- 2 days in the office
- 3 days via telehealth
- Initially approximately 10 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling based on your availability
- Hours will increase as patient volume grows
- Opportunity to transition to full-time as the patient panel increases
Requirements
- Active Virginia PMHNP/APRN license
- Current DEA registration
- NPI
- Ability to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management
- Strong communication, clinical, and documentation skills
- Previous psychiatric experience preferred
- Qualified new graduates may also be considered
Compensation & Benefits
- $100 per hour
- $1,000 signing bonus upon signing the employment agreement, subject to the terms of the agreement

- If a collaborating physician is required, the practice is willing to cover the collaboration expense while you are building your patient panel, subject to the employment agreement
Insurance Credentialing
After hiring, the PMHNP will need to complete the insurance credentialing and enrollment process with the insurance companies we work with.
The credentialing process can take approximately 60–90 days, depending on the insurance company. We will assist with the required credentialing paperwork and enrollment process.
