Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Experienced Barista, Host, and Food Runner. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, non-alcoholic beverages, and food items with precision and care, adhering to food safety standards.
- Greet guests warmly as a host, manage seating arrangements efficiently, and ensure smooth flow of service throughout the café.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as TOAST process cash and card transactions confidently, and handle retail sales transactions professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service stations by following proper cleaning procedures to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests’ tables as a food runner while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with food handling and preparation tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks, ensuring timely service during peak hours while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service.
- Previous food service experience in cafés or restaurants is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST is essential for processing transactions efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to handle retail sales transactions accurately using basic math skills.
- Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to engaging guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and proper cleaning practices within the food industry.
- Excellent time management skills to juggle multiple responsibilities seamlessly in a fast-paced environment.
