Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a dependable and career-minded Make Ready Technician to join our team at The Winsted at Valley Ranch Apartments in Irving, Texas.
Whether you already have multifamily make-ready experience or are looking to grow your maintenance career, this is an excellent opportunity. We offer hands-on training in our dedicated maintenance training facility and are looking for individuals who want to build a long-term career with our company.
As a Make Ready Technician, you'll prepare apartment homes for new residents while helping maintain a clean, attractive, and welcoming community.
What You Will Do

Prepare vacant apartment homes for new move-ins by completing make-ready work on schedule

Complete general maintenance repairs and service requests with quality workmanship

Paint, repair, clean, and inspect apartment homes to company standards

Assist with preventative maintenance and community upkeep

Help maintain the community pool and surrounding amenities
-
Support groundskeeping efforts and maintain excellent curb appeal

Collaborate with maintenance team members to solve problems and improve operations
-
Communicate effectively with maintenance staff, office team members, and residents
-
Deliver friendly, professional customer service while interacting with residents

Participate in the on-call rotation when applicable
What You Will Bring
The ideal candidate will possess:

Some maintenance or make-ready experience in multifamily housing is preferred, but training is available for motivated candidates

Valid driver's license (required)

Passion for repairing, improving, and preparing apartment homes

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
