Join The Arc Alliance Children’s Services Early Intervention Program and help young children with disabilities build foundational skills during the most important years of growth.
As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will coach and support caregivers in strengthening children’s functional and developmental skills through everyday routines and activities. This role is relationship-based, family-centered, and focused on empowering caregivers to help their children thrive in natural environments.
Provide caregiver coaching using a routines-based, family-centered approach
Conduct formal and informal developmental evaluations
Deliver direct early intervention services
Complete session documentation and billing in accordance with state EI regulations
Maintain required direct service levels
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with staff and county partners
Complete 24 hours of required annual state EI training
Assess equipment needs and guide families in proper use
Build supportive relationships with families and community providers

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Early Intervention, Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Family Studies, or related field
One year full-time (or equivalent) experience working directly with preschool children with disabilities and their families
Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance
Clear PA Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Criminal Record Check
FBI, Criminal History, and Child Abuse Clearances (required at hire and maintained per regulations)
Legally authorized to drive in Pennsylvania
Reliable transportation
3-year driving record check (required at hire and updated annually)
Recommended automobile coverage: $100,000/$300,000 liability and $100,000 property damage
Ability and willingness to travel throughout Montgomery, Berks, and Chester Counties
Frequent verbal and written communication
Ability to use and interpret early intervention assessment tools
Frequent sitting, standing, and ability to maneuver equipment
Ability to observe, assess, and document child development
