Duties
- Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic flow.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) by inputting patient information, treatment details, and medical documentation efficiently.
- Assist with insurance third-party billing processes, verifying coverage and submitting claims promptly to ensure timely reimbursements.
- Coordinate with managed care organizations and health insurance providers to resolve coverage issues and facilitate patient eligibility verification.
- Support revenue cycle management activities by processing payments, tracking outstanding balances, and generating financial reports.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries professionally, providing clear information about services, appointments, and billing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in healthcare administration or medical office support, preferably within a dialysis or outpatient setting.
- Strong knowledge of managed care systems, health insurance policies, and third-party billing procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) management software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of revenue cycle management processes to support financial operations.
