Manufacturing Engineer – Robotic Welding
Location: Alexandria, MN
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year (DOE)
Position Summary
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer – Robotic Welding with 3–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ABB and FANUC robotic welding systems and a passion for improving manufacturing processes and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot ABB & FANUC robotic welding systems.
- Develop and optimize welding parameters and robotic welding processes.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve welding/process issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and weld symbols.
- Support new product launches and manufacturing process improvements.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain process documentation and ensure quality standards.
Required Qualification
- 3–7 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with ABB & FANUC robotic welding (Required).
- Experience with weld parameter development and process optimization.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Motoman or KUKA robotics
- RoboGuide, RobotStudio, MotoSim, or Delmia
- Vision-guided welding, TAST, or adaptive welding
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA
- SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CAD/CAM
- AWS welding knowledge/certification
