Outpatient Specialty Physician Clinic | Wesley Chapel, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $18.00–$25.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Are you a Certified Medical Assistant who enjoys staying organized, multitasking, and providing outstanding patient care? Our busy outpatient specialty clinic in the Wesley Chapel, FL area is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented CMA to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, administrative-focused environment while maintaining a compassionate, patient-first approach. You'll play an essential role in supporting providers, coordinating patient care, and ensuring our clinic runs efficiently each day.
Responsibilities
- Review upcoming schedules and provide appointment reminders
- Verify patient insurance benefits prior to appointments
- Check patients in, collect copays, and process outstanding balances
- Ensure all patient forms, consents, and documentation are complete
- Maintain efficient patient flow while communicating delays professionally
- Answer and manage a high-volume multiline phone system
- Process prior authorizations for specialty services and procedures
- Handle medication refill requests according to provider protocols
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care
- Provide administrative and clinical support to physicians and staff
- Maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities throughout the day
QualificationsRequired
- Current BLS Certification
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working in an administrative-heavy role with frequent patient phone interaction
Preferred
- Previous experience in an outpatient specialty clinic
