We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Dessert Finisher and Barista to join our vibrant café team! In this role, you will be the final touch in creating beautifully crafted desserts and beverages that delight our customers. As a key team member, you’ll deliver outstanding customer service while expertly preparing non-alcoholic beverages, finishing desserts, and managing retail transactions with efficiency. Duties
- Finish and decorate desserts with precision, ensuring presentation meets quality standards.
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees and teas, using professional barista techniques.
- Operate POS for retail sales transactions, processing cash and card payments accurately.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Handle food preparation tasks with attention to food handling safety and hygiene protocols.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or café environments, preferred.
- Strong skills in retail math, cash handling, and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for order accuracy and cash reconciliation.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
