Experience:
- Minimum 3 years chair side dental assisting experience is required.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management protocols.
- Assist dentist chairside during a variety of procedures including Cerec digital crowns ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Digital radiography and 3D scans
- Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform vital signs assessment and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and treatment plans while maintaining excellent patient management software records.
- Follow strict dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards across all clinical activities.
Qualifications
- Valid current registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification recognized by state or provincial dental boards.
- Proven chair side experience in dental assisting with advanced restorative dentistry.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including chairside assisting techniques with four-handed dentistry.
- Skilled in dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages while demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention policies aligned with HIPAA standards and clinical confidentiality policies.
