Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fried chicken according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistent flavor and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including fryers, ovens, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling techniques and sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and assisting in creating new flavor profiles or meal options
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area through regular cleaning routines, including equipment sanitation and waste disposal
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Follow safety standards during food production to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for preparing ingredients
- Experience with food safety management and understanding of safety standards in production environments
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal preparation guidelines
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen team members
