Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Asian Cuisine, a fast-paced kitchen environment, particularly in fine dining or catering settings. As a Line Cook, you will play a critical role in preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to menu planning. Your expertise with knives and kitchen equipment will be essential as you work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen.
- Assist in menu planning and development, providing input on seasonal dishes and specials.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper use of knives and tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Proficiency with knives and various kitchen equipment is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
