Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced professional skilled in imaging as a Cath Lab Tech. This contract assignment requires candidates with strong clinical abilities to support cardiac procedures. Those with RCIS certification are welcomed. The position is scheduled for 4x10s shifts weekly, with some on-call responsibilities, starting as soon as possible.
Candidates must not be residents of Broward, Dade, or Palm Beach counties.
Qualifications:
- Current RCIS certification (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) accepted
- Proven experience as a Cath Lab Tech in an imaging environment
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting imaging equipment used in cardiac catheterization procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment, patient assessment, and care documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and facility policies
Schedule:
- 4x10 hour shifts per week
- Some on-call rotation may be required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care
- Operate and maintain cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment
- Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures, providing immediate response if needed
- Ensure safe, sterile, and efficient environments in accordance with protocols
- Document all patient care, procedures, and communications accurately within medical records
- Support workflow efficiency by preparing supplies, equipment, and procedure rooms
- Participate actively in quality assurance and improvement initiatives as directed
