As a Resident Engagement Assistant, you'll primarily support residents at Whitney Place while collaborating with team members and residents throughout our campus. You'll play an important role in creating meaningful experiences that foster joy, connection, and engagement every day.
Your Mission:
Are you someone who loves bringing people together, planning memorable experiences, and making others smile?
As a Resident Engagement Assistant, you'll help create engaging activities that promote social connection, independence, and overall well-being for our residents. From leading games and fitness classes to decorating for holiday celebrations and accompanying residents on community outings, no two days are the same. This is a hands-on role where you'll build meaningful relationships while helping residents stay active, engaged, and connected.
What you'll do:
- Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, themed parties, live entertainment, and intergenerational programming.
- Accompany residents on outings, including shopping trips, scenic drives, restaurants, and community events.
- Encourage resident participation while creating a welcoming, inclusive, and fun environment.
- Support activity setup, decorating, supplies, and event preparation.
- Visit with residents individually to provide companionship and meaningful engagement.

- Holiday parties and seasonal celebrations

- Cultural celebrations and themed events
What you'll bring:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patience, compassion, and a cheerful personality.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience in recreation, activities, customer service, hospitality, or senior living is a plus.
