Position Summary
Holiday Inn & Suites Idaho Falls is seeking an energetic, service-focused Assistant Front of House Manager / Banquet Captain to help lead daily restaurant operations while coordinating and executing banquet and event service. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences in both Burger Theory and our busy event center.
Essential Responsibilities
Restaurant Operations
- Assist with the daily supervision of front-of-house restaurant operations.
- Lead shifts and support servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff.
- Ensure excellent guest service standards are maintained at all times.
- Address guest concerns and resolve service issues professionally and promptly.
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and appearance of all restaurant areas.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
- Support inventory controls and operational procedures.
Banquet & Event Operations
- Serve as Banquet Captain for meetings, weddings, conferences, and special events.
- Coordinate event setup, service execution, and breakdown.
- Lead banquet staff during events and ensure BEO specifications are followed.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, sales, and hotel departments.
- Conduct pre-event staff meetings and assign responsibilities.
- Monitor event timelines and ensure seamless guest experiences.
Maintain banquet equipment, supplies, and service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, banquet, or hospitality leadership experience preferred but not required.
- Experience supervising employees in a customer service environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist with banquet setup, including tables, chairs, and event equipment.
