Rosewood Village – Hollymead is hiring one Full-Time 1st shift RMA for our Memory Care neighborhood. This is the anchor position on our care team: consistent weekday hours, full benefits, and residents living with Alzheimer's and dementia who depend on a steady, familiar med aide who knows them — their routines, their cues, their good days.

Your Responsibilities
- Own the morning and midday med pass in Memory Care, documenting on the MAR
- Recognize condition changes in residents who can't always self-report — and act on them
- Assist with daily living needs using patience, redirection, and genuine warmth
- Partner with the RCD and care team to keep dementia care consistent across shifts
Requirements
- Active Virginia RMA certification in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing
- 18 years or older
- Memory care or dementia care experience strongly preferred
- CPR/First Aid preferred; clear background screening required (drug-free workplace)

The Medication Assistant is to provide resident care services including assistance with self-administration of medication, to the residents in the Assisted Living area under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD) according to scheduled duties and assist in maintaining a positive physical and social environment.
Areas of Responsibility
- Able to approach all encounters with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Work closely with and maintain daily communications with the Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care and services is maintained for the residents.
- Participate in resident activities and lead resident activities as needed.
- Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, courteous manner with resident satisfaction a priority.

Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Minimum one (1) year experience with senior adults highly preferred.
- May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on the state requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
- Must possess current Medication Training certification.
- Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

- Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the State.
- Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems preferred.
