Director of Credit Operations
The Director of Credit Operations is responsible for leading iThrive Funding's Credit Operations function, ensuring disciplined credit decisions that enable profitable growth while protecting the company's capital. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leader owns the people, processes, policies, technology, and operational performance of Credit Operations. Responsibilities include oversight of client underwriting, debtor credit, portfolio risk, credit insurance administration, bank reporting and compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the company's ability to scale.
Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and develop the Credit Operations team by establishing goals, KPIs, performance expectations, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Credit Operations functions including client underwriting, debtor credit, portfolio risk management, credit policy, verification standards, credit insurance, compliance reporting, and fraud prevention.
- Drive operational excellence through process improvement, SOP development, technology automation, decision frameworks, and scalable workflows.
- Monitor portfolio quality, emerging risks, and credit performance while providing financial and risk analysis to support business decisions.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, banking relationships, compliance initiatives, credit policies, and operational controls.
- Manage credit decision-making, including client approvals, credit limits, funding structures, risk recommendations, and escalation of material risks.
- Develop reporting, governance, and performance measurement frameworks to improve efficiency, consistency, and operational scalability.
- Serve as a business leader by building strong teams, fostering innovation, making data-driven decisions, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Required knowledge of freight factoring and/or financial services, commercial lending or banking.
- Preferred previous experience in Factoring.
- Preferred Accounting, Finance, Business, MBA or related degree.
- Experience with commercial credit and portfolio management.
- Experience with borrowing base reporting, banking relationships, or credit insurance.
- Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success leading people, processes, and operational improvement.
- Experience developing KPIs, reporting, and decision frameworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
