Assistant Manager – Ralph's Italian Ices
We are seeking a dependable and energetic Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations at Ralph's Italian Ices. This role supports the Store Manager by supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring the store runs smoothly during each shift.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily store operations, including opening, closing, and shift management.
- Supervise team members and ensure employees complete assigned tasks.
- Train new and existing staff on customer service, food handling, sanitation, and store procedures.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to help team members improve performance.
- Greet customers and ensure every guest receives friendly, fast, and accurate service.
- Handle customer questions, complaints, or concerns in a professional manner.
- Prepare and serve ice cream, toppings, desserts, and other menu items according to store standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, product presentation, and freshness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.
- Ensure compliance with food safety rules, sanitation standards, and health codes.
- Operate POS systems and process customer transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, balance registers, and follow proper cash control procedures.
- Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and replenishing supplies.
- Monitor product levels and communicate ordering needs to management.
- Help reduce waste and support store profitability.
- Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage when needed.
- Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
- Help drive sales through excellent service, upselling, and product knowledge.
- Follow and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Previous food service, quick service, retail food, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Prior supervisory, shift lead, or management experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred.
- Ability to manage inventory, supplies, and daily store needs.
- Reliable, organized, energetic, and detail-oriented.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
