Project Manager II
The Department of Administration's (Admin) Office of Technology and Information Services (OTIS) is the state’s central provider of IT services to state government agencies. As a Project Manager within our team, you will manage and coordinate strategic and tactical projects ranging from moderate to high complexity and risk. Admin is a shared services organization which gives you the opportunity to work with many agencies as well as our internal customers here at OTIS. You will be responsible for oversight of service level agreements and contracts related to your project portfolio.
This position is onsite in beautiful Columbia, South Carolina
Responsibilities of the Project Manager II:

Serve as enterprise project manager for assigned internal and external (agency) projects. Manage and direct the initiation, planning, execution, control, and close-out phases of the project life cycle for assigned projects. Track implementation of all Division of Technology Operations (DTO) services as assigned.

Conduct work sessions to fully and accurately define project scope and requirements. Identify resources and skill sets required to complete the project. Develop project communication plans and ensure they address how external communications will take place.

Develop project work plan/schedules and monitor budget (If applicable). Control scope and schedule to ensure project deliverables, milestones and required tasks are completed as planned.

Identify potential problems and facilitate problem resolution by implementing a risk mitigation strategy. Coordinate requests, and recommend changes from original specifications with project sponsor, project team or stakeholders.

Prepare necessary documentation to support project Initiative. Manage development of project documentation for new services assigned. Develop and maintain required project documentation throughout the project life-cycle.

Plan and conduct project status and review meetings. Prepare project status reports and provide updates to project stakeholders and sponsors.

Maintain project management expertise and familiarity with accepted beat practices through self-study, professional journals, or participation in professional forums.

Performs other duties as assigned (e.g. developing DTO's standard project management document and checklists for use on Internal and external (agency) projects).
