As a Golf Outside Services/Valet , located at our top 100 golf course, your primary focus will be to provide a professional, friendly, and welcoming arrival and departure experience for members and guests while supporting all outside golf operations. This position assists with valet service, bag handling, golf cart staging and cleaning, practice facility upkeep, club cleaning, tournament support, and overall cleanliness of outside service areas.
Duties include:
- Proactive member and guest service, focused on creating a professional, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere from initial greeting through departure.
- Assist members and guests with valet parking, golf bags, personal belongings, and directions to the golf shop, clubhouse, practice facilities, and first tee.
- Drive, park, and retrieve member and guest vehicles as part of valet service in a safe, careful, and professional manner.
- Organize and maintain valet keys and valet tickets to ensure vehicles are secure, easy to identify, and returned accurately.
- Establish relationships with members and guests to better anticipate and deliver on their preferences.
- Carry, load, unload, store, and retrieve golf bags for members and guests with care and accuracy.
- Clean golf clubs after play and return equipment to the appropriate bag, vehicle, or storage location.
- Prepare, stage, clean, stock, and charge golf carts according to club standards and the daily tee sheet.
- Maintain the driving range, practice facilities, bag room, cart staging area, valet area, wash bay, and surrounding outside service areas in a clean, organized, and well-stocked condition.
- Assist with food and beverage orders from the driving range when needed.
- Review schedule changes, tee sheets, calendar of events, and daily golf activities.
- Assist with member orientation, guest arrival experience, tournaments, larger groups, and special event execution.
- Communicate member and guest requests, concerns, cart issues, safety concerns, or service opportunities to a Manager or Golf Professional.
- Maintain positive working relationships with teammates and support all club rules, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
Experience:
- General golf knowledge
- Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
- Ability to safely operate golf carts and valet vehicles
- Weekend and holiday availability
- Valid driver’s license required
- Good driving record required for work vehicle insurance
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent English language verbal communication skills
