Overview
Seeking an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to support a client with severe behavior management.
This position offers an engaging opportunity to apply behavioral therapy techniques, assist with daily living activities, and contribute to personalized care plans. You will work closely with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to foster growth, independence, and positive behavior change in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Duties
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Support teaching sessions tailored to individual needs, incorporating special education principles and behavior management techniques.
- Foster a positive environment by applying behavioral health principles and promoting respectful interactions with clients.
Experience
- Registered Behavior Technician certification is required.
- Prior experience working with high-intensity behaviors is required.
- Male RBT is strongly preferred, but female RBTs are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience working with children or adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is required.
- Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with family and BCBA.
- Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols in medical documentation.
