The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned dealer accounts, building strong relationships that drive growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role acts as a proactive business partner by identifying opportunities, providing B2B support, processing customer orders, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure customers receive accurate, timely, and seamless service.
Success in this role requires balancing relationship management with operational excellence, working cross-functionally between Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Shipping to meet customer needs while supporting company objectives.
Essential ResponsibilitiesAccount Growth & Relationship Management
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with assigned dealer accounts.
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales, improve product assortment, and grow customer partnerships.
- Conducts regular outreach to customers through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Educates customers on new products, promotions, merchandising opportunities, and company programs.
- Monitors account performance and recommends strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Serves as a trusted advisor and advocate for assigned accounts.
Dealer Service & Customer Support
- Delivers responsive, professional B2B customer service.
- Resolves customer questions regarding orders, inventory availability, pricing, shipping, and product information.
- Manages customer expectations by providing accurate and timely communication.
- Addresses issues proactively and coordinate solutions across departments.
- Ensures customers receive a consistent, high-quality experience with every interaction.
Order Management
- Enters and processes customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Reviews orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, freight terms, shipping instructions, and product availability.
- Coordinates changes, cancellations, backorders, and special requests.
- Monitors order status from entry through shipment to ensure successful fulfillment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partners closely with Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, Marketing, and Customer Service to support customer needs.
- Communicates customer priorities and business needs to internal teams.
- Helps resolve inventory, production, shipping, or operational challenges affecting customer orders.
- Participates in cross-functional meetings to improve processes and customer outcomes.
Business Development
- Analyzes sales trends, customer purchasing behavior, and account performance.
- Identifies opportunities to expand product categories and increase market share.
- Supports sales initiatives, promotions, and seasonal programs.
- Maintains accurate customer records and activity within company systems.
- Proactively develop assigned accounts by identifying growth opportunities.
- Re-engage inactive accounts.
- Following up on sales leads including cold calls, or follow ups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in account management, inside sales, customer service, or B2B sales support.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Physical Requirements

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
