Under direct supervision, responsible for general clinical duties such as taking vital signs, giving injections, performing simple diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site. May perform some administrative duties and support the documentation of patient records as dictated by the physician or provider.
Serves as a patient’s companion for medical appointments and hospital procedures. Hold a valid Texas Driver’s License.

- Possess analytical thinking – this role requires analyzing information and using logic to coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing the highest quality of care to the patient the UT Health Way.
- Knowledge of EPIC software; may be required to be EPIC super user.
- Meets all training and competency requirements.
EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or GED
PREFERRED:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
