Harbor Civil & Marine is a well-established Virginia construction company with more than 40 years of experience specializing in utility construction, stormwater infrastructure, drainage improvements, marine construction, and civil site work. Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of underground utility systems, including stormwater, drainage, water, and sanitary sewer infrastructure.
- Install erosion and sediment control devices in accordance with project plans and environmental regulations.
- Safely operate or assist with mini excavators, skid steers, front-end loaders, and other construction equipment.
- Perform general construction labor using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist pipe crews with grading, trenching, utility installation, backfilling, and site restoration.
- Support carpentry activities related to construction projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company safety policies and work efficiently as part of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, utility work, stormwater systems, site work, or carpentry preferred.
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools and power tools.
- Experience operating compact construction equipment is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow directions.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and job site safety.
