As a Sr. Field Service Technician – Conveyor Systems / Electrical & Mechanical here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced technical support and expertise to our customers in the Industrial Automation (IA) business unit. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues across conveyor systems and electrical & mechanical equipment, ensuring the successful implementation of our solutions, and driving customer satisfaction. Your expertise and commitment to excellence will play a crucial role in the success of our field service operations and the growth of our business.
You will report directly to our Field Service Field Manager and you'll work out of our McCalla, AL location . In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our customers' operations by providing exceptional technical support and service across conveyor systems and electrical & mechanical automation environments.
YOU MUST HAVE
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Conveyor Systems and Electrical & Mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, or repair
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including conveyors, sortation systems, or automation systems
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong technical expertise in electrical & mechanical systems within industrial or automation environments
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in conveyor systems and industrial equipment
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
WE VALUE
- Technical degree or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Automation field
- 2+ years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems in industrial or warehouse environments
- Experience with Honeywell Intelligrated Conveyor Systems or similar platforms
- Strong skills in electrical & mechanical troubleshooting, including motors, drives, and control systems
- Experience working with PLCs and automation systems in material handling environments
- Ability to mentor and support junior technicians in conveyor and electrical/mechanical systems
- Continuous learning mindset with a focus on automation and conveyor system advancements
- Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and aerial lifts
