Our shop works with A36 and A572 Grade 50 steel using FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) processes per AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code. THE ROLE
We are seeking experienced Fabricators and Welders to join our production floor. This is a hands-on position where you will be fabricating structural steel assemblies from plate, beam, channel, tube, bar, and sheet metal. Final pay and title are determined based on your demonstrated experience, skill set, and weld quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform FCAW (Dual-Shield) welding per Jackrabbit WPS on A36 and A572 Grade 50 base metals
- Execute groove welds (Single V-groove, Single Bevel), fillet welds, butt joints, T-joints, corner joints, and lap joints
- Weld in all positions – Flat, Vertical (up progression), Horizontal, and Overhead
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and work orders
- Perform layout and fit-up prior to welding; verify dimensions and tolerances
- Measure, cut, grind, drill, bend, and prep steel materials for fabrication
- Operate shop equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, brakes, shears, and flame cutters
- Perform interpass cleaning using wire brush, wire wheel, and grinder between weld passes
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely
- Inspect your own work for quality and dimensional accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work independently or as part of a crew depending on job requirements
Senior-level candidates may also:
- Troubleshoot fabrication and fit-up challenges
- Mentor less experienced fabricators and welders
- Lead by example in quality, safety, and production efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS
- FCAW welding experience required – must be comfortable with dual-shield wire process
- Fabrication experience required – ability to read prints and fabricate from drawings
- Familiarity with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code a strong plus
- Experience welding in all positions
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Forklift experience or willingness to be trained
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to weld quality
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a shop environment
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and work in various positions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently; heavier materials with assistance
- Must be able to wear required PPE and work safely at all times

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week
- Day shift: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, weekdays
- $20.00 – $25.00/hour based on experience and demonstrated skill
- Production-based incentive pay bonus
