Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality meals to our guests. Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Assist with menu planning, ensuring variety and nutritional balance.
- Handle food safely and adhere to all food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cooking tools promptly to ensure a clean workspace.
- Support the dietary department by preparing special meals as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Utilize knife skills for meal preparation and presentation.
- Assist in catering events as required, ensuring high standards of service.
- Provide excellent food service during meal times, including plating and serving dishes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred.
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Fine dining experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Experience in restaurant or kitchen settings is advantageous.
- Excellent knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
