Title: Material Handler
Job purpose: Maintain production flow by moving, staging and prepping industrial machines and steel structures for blasting, painting and shipping.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Mask, sand and touch up paint on industrial machines and steel structures.
- Capable of using a forklift, Skytrak, and crane.
- Read and understand technical documents.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet customer needs and deadlines with minimal guidance.
- Strive to minimize rework and continually improve quality level.
- Meet company productivity rates, and learn all aspects of job as required.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
- Continually demonstrates a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.
- Follows all company safety rules and policies.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by Shop Foreman or Management.

Physical fitness – must be able to hear coworkers, see up close and far away, perceive color and depth, and have the ability to focus. May be required to stand or walk on uneven ground and ascend and descend ladders and scaffolding and work in confined spaces, all of which requires stamina and endurance.
Interpersonal skills – the ability to clearly, professionally, and effectively communicate with management, shop foreman and coworkers.
Employees shall also be required to pass drug tests and certain health requirements for respirator use.
