Teaching Load: Approximately 18-20 small music classes per week, allowing time for lesson preparation, performance planning, enrichment coordination, and collaboration with faculty.

Position Summary
Fell Charter School is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and student-centered Music Teacher to inspire a love of music in students from Kindergarten through Grade 8. As a small K-8 charter school, we value educators who enjoy collaborating with colleagues, building meaningful relationships with students, and contributing to all aspects of school life.
The Music Teacher will provide engaging general music instruction while also playing a vital role in school performances, enrichment programming, and our unique school culture.
Essential Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging general music lessons for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8.
- Develop students' understanding of music theory, rhythm, notation, vocal performance, music appreciation, music history, listening skills, movement, and instrumental performance.
- Foster creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation of music.
- Assess student progress and communicate student achievement to families.
School Performances
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to incorporate music into monthly Warrior Night presentations.
- Direct student musical performances during Warrior Nights throughout the school year.
- Plan, organize, and direct the school's annual Holiday Music Program.
- Plan and direct a Spring Musical production involving students across multiple grade levels.
- Support school assemblies and special events through music programming.
- Serve as DJ and event coordinator for the school's annual Spring Semi-Formal.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Music Education (or ability to obtain certification).
- Bachelor's Degree in Music Education or a related field. New graduates or recent retirees encouraged to apply!
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit school community.
