Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Painter to join our team and bring vibrant, high-quality finishes to a variety of projects. As a key member of our construction and renovation crews, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, stains, and coatings, and ensuring that every project meets our high standards for quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare surfaces meticulously by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and durability.
- Execute painting tasks using hand tools, brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), and power tools to achieve smooth, even finishes.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately follow project specifications.
- Apply various coatings including paints, stains, lacquers, and specialty finishes tailored to surface type and client preferences.
- Conduct surface preparation for construction painting surfaces such as stucco, masonry, concrete finishing, drywall installation, and restoration projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by utilizing respiratory protection equipment and adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites.
- Perform site inspections to verify color matching through visual color comparison and ensure the quality of work aligns with project standards.
- Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures, trim carpentry, framing, drywall repair, plastering, caulking, and other handyman tasks as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment including hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and spray equipment; perform routine maintenance for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and schematics for complex projects involving industrial painting or remodeling efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting surface preparation, spray painting techniques (including airless spraying), residential painting, commercial painting, and industrial coating applications.
- Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve precise color matching and aesthetic finishes.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate project execution.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers; power tools including drills and sanders; welding equipment; scaffolding; and other construction-related tools.
- Experience with masonry work like stucco application or concrete finishing is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites including respiratory protection measures.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area or paint quantities.
- Ability to perform construction site experience tasks such as remodeling or restoration projects efficiently.
- Carpentry skills including trim carpentry or fixture installation are advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret schematics or technical drawings accurately in a fast-paced environment.
